About Us

Here at the Black Scholars' Resource Center, we support African, Black, and Caribbean folks in the Diaspora (ABC). We provide resources for the African American students at the University of California Merced. The BSRC is a safe space for ABC scholars to come together whether it be to de-stress or get some assignments and/or projects completed. Our doors are always open for students, staff and faculty to utilize the space. We also provide free testing materials such as scantrons and green/blue books.

A little History

In response to student concerns and demand for institutional change UC Merced’s Black Scholar Resource Center was established on campus. This center addresses a critical call by students for a safe convening environment and creates space and opportunity for Black students and organizations to organize and engage in academic, social-cultural, leadership, community development and networking activities. The space will also enhance exchanges with faculty, alumni and community stakeholders. The center’s two rooms are on the first floor of Granite Pass on the side facing Little Lake!
