Black Excellence Symposium: A Legacy of Triumph and a Vision for the Future!
This year, the Black Excellence Symposium's theme "A Legacy of Triumph and a Vision for the Future" focuses on recognizing and leveraging the achievements of Black communities while fostering future growth and development. This event serves as an opportunity to honor the rich legacy of Black achievement while envisioning a bold, transformative future. We invite scholars, practitioners, artists, and community leaders to submit proposals that celebrate triumphs, address challenges, and explore innovative pathways for future generations. We are seeking presentations, workshops, panels, and creative projects that reflect the Symposium’s themes of leadership, resilience, cultural pride, and social justice. Proposals should focus on topics such as Black identity, mental health, education, activism, entrepreneurship, and community empowerment. We welcome submissions that are research-based, experiential, or creative in nature, and that aim to inspire and equip attendees with tools for success and societal change.
This year's symposium will be hosted on February 8th, 2025 in the Dr. Wikram and Priya Lakireddy Grand Ballroom.
