African, Black, and Caribbean Undocu Resources


Background  

Over half a million undocumented Black people in the United States.

Almost 6% of the total undocumented population.

But represent almost 20% of the people facing deportation.

One of the most vulnerable groups of undocumented immigrants.

They experience discrimination based both on their race and their citizenship status.  

2x’s more likely to be deported compared to any other undocumented group.

Haitians are the most impacted due to extreme environmental events but also the political events causing a major divide.  

Most Black undocumented people live in the Red States.

Making the attainment of education and fundamental rights even harder.

Be there for them when the law is not.

The majority of the population is of working age and is unmarried.

Also, the majority have a college education.

Over 80% of undocumented immigrants have an exceptional understanding of the English language.

Some even come from countries where English is their native language.
