The Main Office is assisted by several student staff, also known as the Scholar Coordinators. The student staff assist in managing our the cultural spaces, organizizing occasional events and programs, and serving as front desk greeter in our main office.

Hey y’all! My name is Goodness Emedom, I am a third year Human Biology major and this is my second year working for SJI&IP. I am from Los Angeles and originally from Nigeria! I hope to support any and every UC Merced student looking for guidance as navigating college is a tough and completely new experience.

Hello there! I'm Karla Destephen, a proud native of Honduras. Fluent in both Spanish and English, I've been blessed with the gift of communication. Growing up with a younger sister has been a joy, and I find great fulfillment as a member of the dance team. But above all, my true passion lies in my job, where I pour my heart and soul into everything I do. It's a pleasure to meet you!

Hello, I'm Yazbeck Muro! I'm a fourth-year Biological Sciences major with an emphasis in Molecular & Cell Biology. As a scholar coordinator, I seek to be able to help students with their journey here at UC Merced to the best of my ability.
